Memorial Books

Honor someone special.  Present a memorial, congratulate a graduate, or honor an anniversary.

The Library accepts monetary donations to honor the memory of individuals.  Bookplates are placed in the materials acknowledging the honoree and the donor with notification sent to the memorial family.

Monetary Donations

Donations to the Library may be made at any time and in any amount.   Written receipts will be issued at the time of the donation for income tax purposes.

Check donations may be written payable to the East Palestine Memorial Public Library and presented to the Director, Tamra Hess, or the Assistant Director, Noreen McBride.

Used Books & Magazines

The Friends of the Library also accept new and unused items to be used at the annual book sale and silent auction.   All other items (such as personal property, real estate, stocks, securities or collectibles),  will be accepted, or not, only upon the condition that those items may be sold, kept, given away, or discarded, at the discretion of the Library Board.   The Board will not appraise or suggest a value for non-monetary gifts.  The responsibility for appraising the value for tax or for any other purposes lies with the donor.   The Board also has the discretion on how a gift is memorialized.
