2022 Summer Program
Schedule of Events
Monday, June 6 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM- Summer Reading begins, stop in the library to register to participate. The first 100 children to register will get to make an aquarium for a stuffed mini sea creature.
Acrylic Painting with Cassie at 6:00 PM- On Mondays in June, Cassie Holsopple will present an acrylic painting class for adults. Registration is required to attend this program series. Supplies will be available at the classes. A supply list will also be available for participants who wish to purchase their own supplies. For adults: June 6, June 13, June 20, June 27
Tuesday, June 7 at 1:00 PM- Local History Hunters- Do you have an interest in local history? We are starting a new group at the library to assist with organizing boxes and boxes of local history materials. Adults and teens are welcome to attend the first meeting.
Wednesday, June 8 at 6:30 PM- Drop-In Book Club will celebrate their Anniversary Meeting with author Betsy Theodore. (Adults)
Thursday, June 9 at 2:00 PM- So You Want to Be a Zookeeper presented by Akron Zoo- Take a deep dive into what it is like to be a Zookeeper. Participate at the library or register to participate from home.
Movers & Shakers Storytime Storytime featuring stories, music, and movement for ages 2 and up Mondays at 11:00 AM June 13 to August 1 For the littles ages 2 & up |

Movie Under the Stars Enjoy a movie under the stars on the library lawn. Bring your own chairs, blankets, and snacks. Thursday, June 16 at 8:30 PM Registration is required |

Tuesday, June 21 at 6:00 PM- Bald Eagles in Ohio- A representative from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources will present this program on Bald Eagles in Ohio. Registration is required. Call the library at 330-426-3778 to register. All ages.
Thursday, June 23 at 2:00 PM- Steel Valley Ukers- All ages are invited to attend a performance of the Steel Valley Ukers, a ukulele group made of members from the Mahoning Valley.
Tuesday, June 28 at 6:00 PM- Apple Interest Group- meet other users of the iPhone, iPad, and other Apple products to discover hints, tips, and tricks to help you use the device to its full potential. (Adults)
Wednesday, June 29 at 2:00 PM- Graphic Novel Book Club- The InvestiGATORS by John Patrick Green.

Monday, July 11 at 2:00 PM- Chapters Book Club- Ninja Kid by Anh Do. Ages 8 & up.
Monday, July 11 at 6:00 PM- OverBooked Book Club for Adults ages 18 to 25- Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. (Adults)
Thursday, July 14 at 2:00 PM- Stayin' Alive Drummers- Enjoy a performance by East Palestine's Own Drumming Group.
Monday, July 18 at 2:00 PM- Book Buzz for ages 14 and up- One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus.
Monday, July 25 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM- Sidewalk Art Contest- All ages are invited to participate in this event. Supplies will be provided by the library.
Monday, August 1- Last day to turn in READ! BINGO sheet for a chance to win a prize.
Wednesday, August 3 at 2:00 PM- Pittsburgh Zoomobile presents- Sea Turtles, Save Turtles- For the finale of the Summer Program, participants will learn about sea turtles and see a land turtle in person. This program is made possible by the Regina Chaplow fund. All ages.
