During World War II, the Akron Beacon Journal had one of the best cartoonists in the country, Web Brown. Learn about World War II through the history of Web's great cartoons. The cartoons are filled with history, humor, justice, and present the history of World War II in a fun and memorable way. This program is made possible by the Friends of the Library.
-Participants may bring five standard boxes or five standard garbage bags of personal documents to be shredded on site.
-Paper clips and staples do not need to be removed from your documents. No binder clips.
-Paper only- no cardboard, no newspapers, no magazines, no phone books, and no plastic, such as three-ring binders.
-Please enter the parking lot from Walnut Street.

Gentle Reads Book Club meets the last Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. On Thursday, May 28 at 1:30 p.m., the group will discuss the book Enlightenment of Bees by Rachel Lind.
Afternoon Book Club meets the third Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. On Thursday, May 21 at 1:30 p.m., the group will discuss The Readers of the Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald.
Are you an anglophile who loves everything related to England? This group meets the third Monday of month at 1:00 p.m. on the following dates: March 16, April 20, and May 18.
On Saturday, March 14 at 11:00 a.m., we will celebrate National Craft Month by offering #Crafturday. At the program, we will make Spin Art creations with a salad spinner and a Lazy Susan. All ages are welcome to attend.
Drop-In Book Club meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Members can participate on a monthly basis or simply drop-in on a monthly meeting to discuss books with other book lovers. Drop-In Book Club will meet on the following dates: March 11, April 8, and May 13 at 6:30 p.m.
The library will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2019 for Thanksgiving.
