1000 Books Before Kindergarten Reading Program

1000 Books Before Kindergarten logoThe library encourages you to read 1000 books to your child before they enter Kindergarten.  The simple and enjoyable act of sharing books helps your child learn pre-reading skills such as the sounds letters make, developing a bigger vocabulary, and building background knowledge--all important skills that help prepare your child for learning to read and entering Kindergarten.

Computer Training Position Available

Our library has been selected once again to participate in the State Library’s Guiding Ohio Online program which targets populations in rural Ohio and helps Ohioans develop skills needed to fully participate in the digital age.  A trainer will be hired to assist our library with computer instruction, technology-focused community outreach, hands-on help, and other technology-related duties. Previously an AmeriCorps program, Guiding Ohio Online is now supported with LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act) funds.
