About Jessica Oates

Jessica Oates LPCC-S, PMH-C

Founder/Clinician, Insight Clinical Counseling & Wellness, LLC

Jessica Oates founded Insight Clinical Counseling & Wellness with a mission; to reduce the stigma of receiving mental health services and meet the unique needs of rural communities and Appalachian culture. Since opening the first location in East Liverpool in 2020, Insight Clinical Counseling & Wellness now has five locations across three counties. She is a board member of the Columbiana County Mental Health & Recovery and an active member of the Columbiana Area Business and Professional Women’s Association. Her dedication to both the company and the community was recognized by the Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce when she was awarded “2022 Businesswoman of the Year”.

Jessica received her M.A. in Clinical Counseling from Youngstown State University. Upon graduation, Jessica became the Executive Director of Northeast Ohio Associates in Psychiatric Medicine before becoming the Clinical Director at Comprehensive Behavioral Health. While learning the industry, she knew there was always more that could be done. In 2020, she took a leap of faith and started Insight Clinical Counseling & Wellness.

With a focus on meeting clients where they were and when they needed it, Insight Clinical Counseling & Wellness was started to change the way people receive care – helping every population from children to adults live their best lives. From traditional counseling, virtual counseling and onsite counseling for both schools and corporations, Insight continues to grow. Using a person centered approach, Insight puts a strong focus on wellness to treat trauma, postpartum and women’s issues, depression, ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders and personality disorders with care. This value is followed by all 65 licensed professional counselors, wellness coaches and employees who call Insight their home.

Jessica lives with her husband Eric and son Carter in Columbiana. Jessica believes there is no better time than today to begin working on creating a path to wellness. And with a keen focus on setting goals for treatment, it is her hope that the Insight team and herself can be a healing presence on the path to recovery, wellness and self-actualization.
